Independent music has lost one of its greatest supporters

Mary Ellen passed on 05.02.08 due to complications surrounding malignant brain tumors. She was a super lady and my best friend. I'm having a very hard time coming to grips with losing the person that kept me in line and helped me on so many occasions. I learned the art of music journalism through her tutorship and Garage Radio would never have been what it is without her. She was a true saint and we're all better for having known her. She'll be dearly missed by all she touched...
