David Jackson - Staff Writer
Akron, OH

Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Dave Jackson started playing guitar when he was five, and has been playing in bands (Metal, Rock, Country, Blues) since he was 15. The only time he didn't was to go to college (where he was the editor of the student newsletter). After releasing a solo CD "Recess," he put his 20+ years of experience into a book "How To Get Your Band Out Of The Basement (And Keep Them Out Of The Asylum)." He later launched "The Musician's Cooler (," a site geared towards networking with musicians. Using his talents as a web designer, he launched ... designed to get unsigned bands exposure through cross-promotion. Through his networking efforts on the Internet, Dave met John Foxworthy and was happy to join the Garage Radio team as contributing writer.
