CharlotteMusician.com is fighting to keep Internet Radio alive at its live music showcase on Wednesday, April 4th at the Double Door Inn (Uptown Charlotte). In addition to promoting Charlotte Indie Radio, a musician-run local music only radio station, the event will feature performances by local acts and will educate music fans about the recent changes in royalty legislation that are aimed at putting small Internet radio stations out of business. The "Sitting in with Charlotte Indie Radio" event will be held on Wednesday April 4th from 9:00pm to 12 pm at the Double Door Inn in Uptown Charlotte. Featured performers include: Jackie Moseley, Skip Black, Blaine & Leah Howard, Steve Simpson, and Allan Kaplan. The Double Door is located at (218 E Independence Blvd Charlotte, NC 28204) in Charlotte. Tickets are $5 at the door.

At the event, CharlotteMusician.com will also be collecting music for Charlotte Indie Radio, an Internet radio station playing all genres of NC and SC original music. The station can be heard twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week from www.CharlotteMusician.com. For more information or submission guidelines, interested music fans and musicians can visit http://www.charlottemusician.com.

CharlotteMusician.com is run by musicians for musicians. Formed in January 2005 by local musician Brian Hartzog, the group combines the efforts of local musicians, bands, and solo performers to create projects that help improve the local music scene.
